Fábio Ricardo Marin holds a B.S. in Agronomic Engineering (1998), an M.S. (2000), and a Ph.D. (2003) in Agronomy from the "Luiz de Queiroz" College of Agriculture at the University of São Paulo (Esalq/USP). He completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Florida (20102011) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2018) in the United States. He served as a researcher at Embrapa from 2002 to 2013 and as a professor at PUC-Campinas (20052013) and FGV-Agro (20082013). Between 2006 and 2013, he was a visiting professor and ad hoc advisor in the graduate program at Esalq/USP. Since 2013, he has been a professor of Agrometeorology and Crop Modeling in the Department of Biosystems Engineering at Esalq/USP, where he became an Associate Professor in 2014. Dr. Marin has received teaching honors from graduating classes at both PUC and Esalq and has been a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow since 2010. He has published over 160 scientific papers, six books, and fifteen book chapters. His professional experience includes scientific missions to 23 countries, where he has delivered lectures and conducted field research. Since 2005, he has coordinated nationwide network projects, demonstrating strong leadership in research groups and success in securing research funding. He is the creator and head of the Tempocampo System at Esalq, which provides technical advisory services to producers and companies in the soybean, corn, cotton, and sugarcane sectors, focusing on crop forecasting and the analysis of climate impacts on agriculture. He previously coordinated the China-Brazil Innovation Center at Esalq and the Brazilian Yield Gap Atlas project (www.yieldgap.org). He served as President of the Brazilian Society of Agrometeorology (SBAGRO) for two terms (20212023 and 20232025) and is currently the Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Agricultural Systems Engineering (PPGESA) at Esalq/USP (2023present).
