CRISTINA LAGUNA BENETTI PINTO is Full Professor of the gynecology discipline at the Department of Tocogynecology at the State University of Campinas, UNICAMP. He studied medicine at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at UNICAMP, medical residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of São Paulo, USP, Ribeirão Preto, Master's degree in 1997 and PhD in 2002 at the Department of Tocogynecology at FCM Unicamp, with research and thesis defended on ovarian insufficiency premature, Associate Professor in Gynecology in 2015. She is responsible for the Endometriosis service and director of the Gynecology area of #8203;#8203;the same department. At the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics Associations, FEBRASGO, she was president from 2016 until 2023 and is currently vice-president of the National Specialized Commission for Endocrine Gynecology. She has published more than 120 articles in national and international specialized journals, written 26 book chapters, and received 28 awards. She gave 227 lectures in courses, symposiums and conferences. In 2023 she published the book "Hormones in Gynecology". She works as a referee in national and international magazines. Productivity scholarship holder from CNPq. She has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Gynecology, with an emphasis on Endocrine Gynecology (Precocious Puberty, Hyperprolactinemia, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Premature Ovarian Insufficiency), Menopause and Endometriosis. Current areas of study and research are related to hormonal action in a woman's body: Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (in the past referred to as failure or early menopause), Abnormal Uterine Bleeding and Endometriosis.
