He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from the São Paulo State University - Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1989), a Master's Degree in Geography (Physical Geography) from the University of São Paulo (1995), a PhD in Geography (Physical Geography) from the University of São Paulo (2001). He is currently an Associate Professor II at the State University of Campinas.
