is an Associate Professor at the University of São Paulo (USP), with a distinguished academic and scientific career in the fields of Food Engineering and Environmental Sciences, focusing on drying processes, rheology, thermophysical properties, solid waste, and biofuels. She holds a Masters (1998) and Ph.D. (2002) from UNICAMP, and earned the title of Livre-Docente (Habilitation) from USP in 2006.She began her academic career at USPs Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering (FZEA) in 2002 and has been a faculty member at the School of Engineering of Lorena (EEL/USP) since 2013. At EEL/USP, she contributes to the Graduate Programs in Chemical Engineering (PPGEQ) and Environment and Development (PPGMAD). Her research emphasizes sustainability and technological innovation, particularly in the reuse of agroindustrial waste and the production of biofuels.From 2008 to 2013, she served as Special Advisor to the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation in Brazil, leading strategic national initiatives to strengthen the Science, Technology, and Innovation System. Her contributions included public policies in food security, paleontology, and international cooperation with UNESCO.Within the university administration, she held the roles of Head (20152019) and Deputy Head (20212023) of the Department of Basic and Environmental Sciences at EEL/USP. She also served as Vice-Mayor (20212024) and currently holds the position of Mayor of the USP Campus in Lorena, where she coordinates institutional projects related to infrastructure, sustainability, and regional development.
