She is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto - USP, where she coordinates the Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Nanobiotechnology Research Group (GNanoBio). The groups main objective is to enhance the biological effects of drugs and natural products using innovative nanotechnology approaches. Her research focuses on the development, optimization, and physicochemical and biological characterization of biodegradable nanoparticles (polymeric, lipid-based, and hybrid) for the encapsulation or co-encapsulation of compounds with antitumor, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antiviral activities, as well as metallic nanoparticles of gold and silver. She also leads research on lipid nanoparticles formulated from natural raw materials, aimed at antioxidant delivery systems for cosmetic applications. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2003), a Masters degree (2006), and a Ph.D. (2009) in Chemistry from the same institution, specializing in Nanotechnology applied to Drugs and Cosmetics. Her scientific output includes 84 articles published in high-impact journals, 11 patents filed, and one patent licensed. Currently, she serves as President of the Committee for the Management of Chemical Products and Waste and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at FCFRP-USP, rated with CAPES Level 7.
