Abstract

We show that there are uncountably many non-commensurable metabelian pro-p groups of homological type FPk but not of type FPk+1, generated by m element, where m = k + 4 and k >= 1. In particular there are uncountably many non-commensurable finitely presented metabelian pro-p groups that are not of type FP infinity. We show furthermore that there are uncountably many non-isomorphic one related 2-generated pro-p groups. (AU)
