Abstract

In this work, we propose a procedure for frequency-response estimation using an ARMAX data-driven methodology and synchrophasors. The main goal is to estimate the key parameters that drive the frequency response of a synchronous generator using low-order models. The main advantages of low-order models are: not necessary to have previous knowledge of the high-order models of a particular generator and reduction of the computational burden in the identification methodology. Two low-order models are evaluated for inertial (first-order) and primary (second-order) frequency response and their respective parameters. The methodology is applied to a two-machine one load system to analyze the results obtained. (AU)
