Thermodynamic model for photothermal effects in optomechanics

Abstract

We derive and validate a model for the photothermal forces that act on optomechanical cavities. Our results not only enable the prediction of such effect but also show that it is much stronger than previously estimated. (C) 2020 The Author(s) (AU)
