Contributions of action-research to the development of professional practices in permanent health education and institutional aid: intervention research

Abstract

In the State of São Paulo, the Development and Qualification Centers for the SUS (CDQs) have the challenge of accompanying and developing Continuing Health Education (CHE) and Humanization actions focused on the health needs of the affiliated territories and reflections of workers and managers on their processes, with an upward logic and with innovative methodologies. Although there are experiments in this direction, there are still needs for experiments that produce knowledge in this regard. This is a qualitative study of a research-intervention type that aims to analyze the effects of an action research, constructed in a dialogical way between the researchers, the articulators of permanent education and the humanization supporters, qualitatively evaluating it as a tool for the development of CHE and Institutional Support. The action research will focus on problem situations experienced in the routine and possible activities to be experienced by these professionals with the municipal health teams of primary healthcare in the Regional Health Department III region of Araraquara and it will be evaluated collectively. The object is the professional practice in CHE and in humanization support, two main work areas of the CDQs of the Regional Health Departments of the State of São Paulo. The assumption of the research is that action research can be a tool for continuing health education and for activating creative processes for the benefit of integral health care. The theoretical methodological framework will be the institutional analysis, institutional socio-clinic perspective. The expected results are: production of an analytical framework to guide the actions of CHE and Humanization in CDQs, production of action research technology built considering the local realities with CHE articulators and humanization supporters of the 24 municipalities involved.
