Abstract

The Agilent TapeStation 4200 equipment is an automated electrophoresis system, used for quality control of DNA and RNA samples, especially those involving the preparation of samples for next generation sequencing. This type of system is more accurate, requires a smaller amount of material to be analyzed and makes the analysis faster than conventional electrophoresis systems. The Agilent TapeStation 4200 equipment was awarded in the FAPESP Multiuser Equipment Program (EMU) modality to Dr. André Menezes Strauss - Professor at the Museum of Archeology and Ethnology (MAE) at the University of São Paulo (USP) under the Grant 'Support for Young Researchers FAPESP 17 / 16451-2'. The equipment will be installed at Facility GENIAL (Genome Investigation and Analysis Laboratory) of the Center for Research Facilities (CEFAP) of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at USP (Ed.
