Amazonian Maretórios: threats to socio biodiversity territory and guarantee of livelihoods in the traditional fishing community of Jubim, Marajó Archipelag-Salvaterra/PA

Abstract

The objective of this project is to evaluate the threats generated by the development model implemented in the coastal zone of Pará in the sociobiodiversity of the maretorium of the traditional fishing community of Jubim, Salvaterra/Arquipélago do Marajó-PA. This assessment will be carried out through the production of transdisciplinary knowledge in dialogue with scientific knowledge, traditional Jubim knowledge and that of legal practitioners. The transdisciplinary research actions will be co-constructed in two groups, the Intercommunity Multifocal Group (GMI-1), of an interethnic nature, and the Interdisciplinary Group (GMI-2), with professionals from different fields of scientific knowledge, on a theme (sociobiodiversity). in maretories) practically non-existent in the country, especially in the Amazon region. The implementation of this project will meet axis I (problems 1 and 4) proposed by the public notice, II (problem 3) and III (problems 1 and 2). The GMIs will work as learning and practice communities in the process of dialogue of knowledge between their members during the implementation of the project and in the mutual formation of the members of the aforementioned communities through three workshops: on Human Rights applied to the recognition of maretories, of community traditional fishing and fishing activities and audiovisual production. It is expected that the process and data of this research will make the Jubim maretorium visible, its sociobiodiversity and the existing socio-environmental conflicts, train human resources capable of working in Amazonian maretories in the legal, research, management, social movements and traditional communities and subsidize legal processes of reparation and their recognition and coastal management policies. It is intended to create a Brazilian precedent that can be replicated in other coastal areas of the country, especially in the Amazon, which will be widely disseminated, contributing to the 2030 Agenda (SDGs 5, 14 and 16) and to the Ocean Decade, expanding its scope with maritime alternatives to ocean literacy.
