Abstract

This proposal was developed with the objective of acquiring analytical equipment for the Multi-User Center for Animal Science at the Department of Animal Science (MultiZAZ) of the School of Animal Science and Food Engineering at the University of São Paulo (FZEA/USP). For this reason, it is being submitted on behalf of the current Head of the Department of Animal Science at FZEA/USP, who is also a member of the MultiZAZ Center.The requested equipment aims to meet a demand for highly qualified analyses aligned with the state of the art in animal science research, which is one of the main research areas at the USP Pirassununga Campus. In addition to the internal community, the equipment may meet the needs of other research institutions in the state of São Paulo, as well as those from other states, beyond the non-academic community.These equipment will enable advancements in research in various areas, but especially in topics related to the characterization and improvement of animal production systems. This encompasses aspects related to the production of food for animals (soil and plants), evaluation of their productive performance, body composition of animals, and the quality of products derived from animals of zootechnical interest.
