Abstract
In this work the development of the composite electrodes based on carbon nanotubes (CNT)commingled by polymers, such as poliurethane resin and silicone rubber is proposed. The CNT are nanostructures with interesting properties from the viewpoint of the electrochemical sensors. They combine high superficial area, high electrical conductivity, chemical stability and mechanical strength. In principle, the CNT must present better electrochemical reversibility, low capacitive current, easy surface renovation and finally, possibility of incorporation of modifiers. It is also proposed the synthesis of the molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) to be used in the modification of composite electrodes graphite-poliurethane for determination and quantification of analytes in complex matrices such as biological or environmental samples. This project will contribute to the development of methods for determination of substances of biological or pharmacological interest, such as paracetamol, rutin, propranolol, among others, using the modified composite electrodes. The modification of composite should give better sensitivity and selectivity to the electrodes. (AU)
