Abstract

Since women live approximately eight years longer as compared to men and after menopause the incidence of arterial hypertension significantly increase in this population. Furthermore, changing in anthropometric and biochemical parameters in postmenopausal women have been associated with cardiovascular events, the purpose of this study is: at basal conditionsto evaluate glycemia, lipid profile, cortisol, nitrite/nitrate, cGMP, TBARS, IL-1b, IL-6 e TNF-±, angiotensin II and angiotensin converting enzyme to evaluate blood pressure during 24 hours after exercise training in combination with acute L-arginine suplementation: to evaluate glycemia, lipid profile, cortisol, nitrite/nitrate, cGMP, TBARS, IL-1b, IL-6 e TNF-±, angiotensin II and angiotensin converting enzyme to evaluate blood pressure during 24 hours.
