Abstract

It is well known that regular moderate exercise brings benefit to health. Thus, the RE is an effective intervention for menopausal women, given the fact that these women have increased body fat and inflammatory indicators that can lead to insulin resistance, osteoporosis and development of other chronic diseases. However, the practice of excessive exercise or training with high intensity and volume, with limited recovery periods (overreaching) can damage health. In these situations occur severe muscular injuries, and chronic systemic inflammation that can reduce performance, compromising the athlete's health and lead to the development of the syndrome of super training. Thus, we note that the practice of RE is related both to the improvement of health and quality of life, and in the same subject, this depends on the shape and intensity in which it is practiced. Thus, nutritional intervention is an ally of paramount importance for the practitioner to exercise, because the choice of an appropriate diet and mainly promotes a balanced improvement in their physiological response and performance. Therefore, this project aims to evaluate both the effect of nutritional intervention through caloric restriction in ovariectomized rats practitioners resistance training, as nutritional intervention through supplementation of L-glutamine in rats subjected to intense resistance training.
