Toxic effects of the herbicides Atrazine and Roundup in Eupemphix nattereri (Leiuperidae) and Rhinella schneideri (Bufonidae): morphological changes under different concentrations and abiotic conditions (pH, temperature and photoperiod)

Abstract

We expect to detect and describe the effects of the herbicide formulated glyphosate and atrazine for larvae Eupemphix nattereri (Leiuperidae) and Rhinella schneideri (Bufonidae). Using appropriate experimental designs we want to have information to evaluate and prove the toxicity of products (environmental contaminants / endocrine disruptors) as used in our region (northwest of São Paulo) and in our current model of agriculture in Brazil. In addition, we also expect to evaluate the susceptibility of these different species to pesticides and demonstrate the interaction of abiotic factors with the use of these compounds, defending the hypothesis that changes in environmental conditions can affect its toxicity. Specifically, we know that the herbicides exhibit toxicity to organisms at different levels. These substances are inducing malformations in larvae and morphophysiological systemic changes. We believe that for the gonads will interfere with normal development of individuals In Brazil there is no data on these contaminants and, as a result of abusive use of pesticides are probably affecting reproduction of the species.
