Effects of aerobic interval training and strenght training, periodized, on clinical, biochemical and anthropometric parameters in patients with metabolic syndrome

Abstract

Research shows the importance of exercise for the population as prevention and treatment of metabolic syndrome (MS). Objective: The aims of this study are to analyze and compare the effects of three periodized programs facing training to clinical, biochemical and anthropometric variables in participants sedentary patients with metabolic syndrome. Methods: The study will consist of 80 participants of both sexes aged between 40 and 60 who have MS, and will be divided into four randomized groups of 20 subjects each, conventional resistance training, functional resistance training, interval aerobic training and control. The trained groups will be submitted to their respective training programs, periodized for 16 weeks. Before and after training will be carried out blood tests to check fasting total cholesterol and fractions, triglycerides, blood glucose and lipoprotein oxidized low-density plasma, in addition to body composition by bioelectrical impedance, measurement of body circumferences, vital signs rest and clinical variables during training sessions (vital signs, Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire, Visual Analog Scale and Borg of Perceived Exertion Scale). Statistical analysis: Data analysis will be held in the repeated measures model in independent groups, considering the technique of MANOVA (Multivariate Analyses of Variance), complemented with the construction of the ranges of 95% simultaneous confidence Hotelling.
