Abstract

The Multi-User Equipment Program (EMU) FAPESP has infrastructural nature and is intended for the purchase of scientific instruments characterized by having continuous utility for a group of researchers with extensive experience and proven competence. The program contemplates and encourages the structuring and/or centralized equipment Multi-User laboratories (in certain research areas such laboratories has been referred to as Facilities) that meet the needs of various research groups inside of the institution that hosts and out of them, having institutional counterpart in infrastructure, equipment, personnel and institutional support. Institutional support includes; qualified personnel for perfect and continuous operation of the equipment requested, maintenance of equipment, resources for insurance, maintenance of contract or services, resources and space for the perfect installation of the equipment, the Management Plan and Sharing for the use of the equipment approved by the joint committee of the Institution.
