Abstract

The main objective of this project is to synthesize new amphiphilic phthalocyanines and naphthalocyanines derivatives for use as photosensitizers in photodynamic therapy. Our previously results demonstrate that an amphiphilic combination of peripheral groups into the macrocyclic provide good solubility in physiological media, reduction in their aggregation process and an increase in the interaction to cancer cells. We intend to study their photochemical properties, biological and photophysical for use as photosensitizer in photodynamic therapy (AU)
