Abstract

Sepsis is the leading cause of death in patients admitted to intensive care units (ICUs). Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are key molecules of innate immunity and their role is poorly understood in sepsis. In this study, we will induce septic shock in wild-type and CRAMP-deficiente mice. The biological material obtained by this strategy will be used in Transcriptomics experiments. As a result, we believe that important molecular mechanisms of this disease will be described. (AU)
