LbL (LAYER-BY-LAYER) and Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) nanostructured films with emodin for systems carriers.

Abstract

This project aims to study the incorporation of drugs into nanocarriers, for immobilization of the pharmac on LbL film (Layer-by-Layer) and LB (Langmuir-Blodgett) film for the purpose of controlled release. The drug was chosen to be immobilized is emodin on LbL and LB film in free form or incorporated into liposomes and / or cyclodextrins. The systems are characterized by spectroscopy in the ultraviolet and visible (UV-vis) spectroscopy, infrared Fourier transform (FTIR) analysis and tracking nanoparticle (NTA Nanoparticle tracking analyzes), dynamic light scattering (DLS Dynamic Light Scattering), and electrochemical techniques. The films are also characterized by surface plasmon resonance (SPR) allows to determine its thickness and investigate molecular interactions between the constituents. The association emodin the nanostructured films opens perspectives for use in the controlled release of drugs control systems that mimic the lipid layer of the skin model. (AU)
