Abstract

In order to implement measurements of sanitary surveillance to the presence of antimicrobials residues, in foods of animal origin intended to human consumption, it is necessary to develop analytical methods that shown adequate selectivity and detectability for determination of these residues. Therefore, the aim of this project is to optimize and validate analytical methods for the determination of streptomycin and dihydrostreptomycin residues in milk using enzyme linked immuno sorbent assay, high performance liquid chromatography and liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry. Pasteurized milk samples commercialized in the region of Campinas, São Paulo will be analysed. The following performance criteria will be evaluated: linearity; and linear range, sensitivity, selectivity or specificity; accuracy; intra-assay (repeatability) and inter-assay (reproducibility) precision; detection and quantitation limits of the method and ruggedness.
