The work aims to study the application of different levels of vinasse by subsurface drip irrigation in sugar cane through a methodology involving studies with plant, soil and energy balance. The experiment will be installed in the Areão Farm (22º43' south, 47º38' west and 511 m of altitude)in the experimental area of Department of Rural Engineering - ESALQ/USP, situated in Piracicaba - SP. Will be adopted the completaly randomized design with 6 treatments and 4 replicates. The Treatment 1 will be without irrigation, and the fertilization will be done whith the planting. The Treatment 2 will be fertirrigated without application of vinasse. The treatments 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be fertirrigated with the lvels: 1/2 Cetesb level, Cetesb level, 2 times Cetesb level and 3 times Cetesb level, respectivily. The evaluations in the plants include height of plant, diameter and number of stems and internodes distance. The soil will be monitored with Diviner 2000 probe for determination of soil moisture every three days, and extractores of soil solution for determination of pH and electrical conductivity. For energy analyses will be considered the energy input and energy output for determination of EROI (Energy Return of Investment) and energy balance.
