Abstract

This project proposes to analyse the journalistic output of the daily newspaper Folha de São Paulo concerning two periods of the Kosovo war: The first weeks of NATO attacks on the region (March/99) and the last weeks of these attacks (June of that year). The study will be based on the French Semiotics of A.J. Greimas, in order to determine the generative course of meaning established through the construction of discourse actors and the narrative processes in which they participate as actants.
