Abstract

The present research mainly aims at discussing about the audiovisual documents in archival environment, and that is the way as this documental genre is seen Ito the archival and information environments. By developing the discussion, the object could be closed through the bibliography about audiovisual archives and documents, identifying the different ways as they are stood for in each informational unity, delineating the audiovisual documentation's objective in an archive or library, as well as specificities classification on the archival proceedings of this documentation. The non-textual documentation's organic feature as subsidy for the decision-making process into the organizations and, hereafter, taking over another feature whose role is preserving the institutional memory registered on documents destituted from letters and numbers.
