Abstract

This work intends to carry out an assessment of the accessibility of pedestrians using a geographic information system dedicated to the transportation planning, ie, a GIS-T, in which to develop the network of flows, calculate the accessibility indices and analyze the results spatially, resulting in an overview of accessibility and quality of the pedestrian path on the campus of UNESP in Bauru. After this review, you can suggest correction or mitigation of any situations of discomfort or risk to pedestrians at this location. The issue is important because the federal government is currently encouraging public policies for the elimination of architectural barriers, and more sustainable transport such as cycling and walking so by requiring municipalities to plan for mobility and transport, following the current paradigm shift in the world of contemporary cities in relation to modes of urban transportation.
