Abstract

The research project to be presented to FAPESP, has as its main objective to rescue the history of the Central Station of the Northwestern railroad of Brazil in Bauru. Work done in concrete, which has the first and possibly one of the largest railway stations in concrete in the country, its construction was performed from 1935 to 1939, following the precepts of the art déco style. In addition to researching the history of construction, the language presented in the project, and the main technical characteristics, this research also seeks a review of the administrative periods of the railroad northwest of Brazil (NOB), which are revealed from the projects to the central station. This research project is linked to the project EFNOB / Bauru, KM 0 2011/51014-6 number, your goal is to inventory, identify, locate and analyze the railway heritage in Bauru.(AU)
