Abstract

The biosurfactants are grown from micro-organisms and are compounds with low toxicity and high biodegradability with the capacity to reduce surface and interfacial tensions. The biosurfactants also have the advantage that they can be synthesized from renewable substrates and have great chemical diversity, allowing specific applications to each particular case. The biosurfactants are classified according to their chemical composition and microbial origin. The major classes of biosurfactants include glycolipids, lipopeptides, lipoproteins, phospholipids and fatty acids, polymeric surfactants and particulates surfactants. This work aims to characterize and analyze the chemical composition of the biosurfactant produced by Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus velezensis through the substrates: wheat bran, cassava waste (crueira) and sugar cane bagasse in solid state fermentation, and to test new waste in the region of Barcelona as a substrate for production. For this, will be carried out the production, purification and chemical characterization of the biosurfactant produced, by thin layer Chromatography analyses, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with Mass Spectrometry detector and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry (FTIR).
