Abstract

Obesity is a disease that involves multiple aspects and dimensions, asking therefore for approaches that understand and values it, transcending the biomedic approach. Considering this aspects, qualitative studies represent an important alternative. On the other hand, there is a lack of national studies which tackles the subject, specially the qualitative ones that take into consideration the patients' existence, what reinforce the need of new studies. All in all, the present study aims to evaluate qualitatively the implications of an interdisciplinary intervention to obese people by collecting the narrative inquiry and by doing focal groups. (AU)
