Abstract

Through the use of satellite images for studies in urban climatology was possible a major advance in the subject. It is extremely important for urban climate studies that address these new technologies to extension and improving the results. The purpose of the research stage at the Laboratoire Costel - Climat et Occupation du Sol Télédétection pair, Université Rennes 2 is the characterization of determined variables (vegetation and surface temperature) through remote sensing techniques, in order to apply for the elaboration of thematic maps that contribute to urban climate analysis. The Presidente Prudente city-SP will be addressed in this study, which will be given more approach in the garden Jardim Maracanã. (AU)
