Abstract

This proposal aims at putting together the last findings in my PhD work related to the Fujiwara's hydroarylation of alkynes and the later achievements of the research group on the asymmetric Heck-Matsuda reaction. Our goal is the development of new synthetic tools using the metal catalyzed C-H activation as the main strategy to provide enantioenriched compounds in a practical and efficient way. The end products envisioned to emerge from this synthetic strategy are planned to feed our medicinal chemistry project, which has the 1,1-diarylethane class of bioactive compounds as a general objective.
