Abstract We plan to study the mechanism of particle production in proton-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions at the LHC energies using the Color Glass Condensate formalism. This will be done by calculating the transverse momentum and the rapidity distribution of the produced particles in those collisions considering the numerical solution of the running coupling Balitsky-Kovchegov (rcBK) equation and including the impact parameter dependence through the dipole models which are related to the gluon density inside a proton or a nucleus. We also intend to study the size of the running coupling corrections and how they change the naive $k_{T}$-factorization formula for the gluon production cross section in hadronic and nuclear high energy scattering, which has been used to study RHIC data. The inclusion of these corrections will certainly be an improvement in CGC-based computations. (AU) | |
