Abstract

In recent decades , the study of characteristics and applications of nanometer-scale structures began to take an interest to researchers in the medical, environmental and agricultural areas. Among these, the nanocarriers can improve the bioavailability of many bioactive compounds and reduction of potential toxicological effects. In this way, the development of new targeted nanocarriers to combat endo and ectoparasites that cause great losses to farmers is necessary. Chemical compounds such as ivermectin and Methoprene are used to combat ectoparasites. To improve the bioavailability of these compounds , we intend to prepare and characterize lipid carrier systems such as Solid Lipid Nanoparticles ( SLN) and nanostructured lipid carriers ( NLC ), which allowed the sustained release of these compounds . Analyzes will be conducted to investigate physical and chemical stability of formulations over time in order to develop new alternatives to control ectoparasites.
