Abstract

Studies have attempted to explain how the central auditory pathways process information . An important feature of the central auditory nervous system is the ability to modify their structures before the stimulation afforded by auditory training . To perform this action , the American software Fast Forword the Language Module , which aims to not only stimulate auditory skills , but also attention , memory and language simultaneously was the basis for the creation of Aid System For The Rehabilitation of Hearing Impaired ( SARDA ) . The Fast Forword also provides Literacy module for the elementary school children . The objective of this study is to investigate in an exploratory way the central auditory nervous system , based on auditory training , performs its functions independently or interacts with other cognitive systems such as attention, memory and language skills . For this research the assessment and reassessment after auditory training will be held in three groups that will undergo different methods of intervention for auditory training . The research tools for evaluation and reevaluation five behavioral tests that assess auditory processing (central ) and electrophysiological potentials ABR ( Auditory Evoked Potential Brain Stem ) and P300 will be used . As a method of intervention auditory training with stimulation of auditory skills only , use of SARDA and activities that will be built on the Fast ForWord Literancy will be held . After revaluation statistical analysis of the performance of the groups will apply.
