The sport for people with special needs people started from two schools of thought: one doctor, and another approach with the objective of competition in high yield. This, in turn, increasingly seeks the good results in view, the concern with the elements that can influence the performance of athletes, such as biological variables and their training sessions, and especially conditions related to subjective aspects as the perception of effort related to training. Few studies interested in analyzing these factors, when assimilated into the Paralympic high performance sport, where, looking to meet this problem, the current study aims to examine the physiological and morphological and functional responses of high-performance athletes in basketball wheelchair in a phase of sports training. From the completion of the sample size calculation, we defined an appropriate minimum number of 15 subjects. Assessment will follow the timeline established by the coaches from the monitoring of the training cycle, namely: body composition, the risk of occurrence of upper respiratory tract infection, sources and symptoms of stress and load training session (heart rate and PSE). The results are descriptively represented by measures of central tendency and its derivatives, with an inferential analysis based on the behavior of the data from the most appropriate statistical tests, adopting a significance level of p < 0.05.
