Knowledge on the complex anatomical and physiological interactions in the human body is essential for professional practice in the healthcare field. Such awareness contributes to build knowledge for future nurses; for example, allowing the morphologic recognition, location, function, organization of organs and systems in general and integrated overview. Furthermore, this prior knowledge enables the execution of technical-scientific procedures without causing risks to the patient. Thus, it is notable that to ensure a safe and free of iatrogenic impairment of an intricate system involves the quality of teaching and learning process of future nurses. From this context, the emergence of new educational tools and technologies derived from technological advances allows the inclusion of new applications and devices in educational settings, among them the serious games and the use of Open Educational Resources (OER). Facing these evidences, it is aimed through this study design a prototype of an experimental game in form of a serious game about human anatomy and physiology. Lastly, it is aimed to encourage the development of these resources to create other serious games aiming education in healthcare field and nursing in an open manner.
