Abstract The aim of this work plan is the study of stability analysis and control synthesis problems for some classes of hybrid systems, such as Markov jump linear systems, switched systems, and sampled systems. Moreover, it is proposed to analyze the nonlinearity effect in system dynamics, as, for instance, actuator saturation. Both discrete-time and continuous-time models will be addressed using, as performance index, the H-2 and H-infinity norms. In this context, the H-2 norm is usually related to energy, while the H-infinity norm represents robustness criteria associated to disturbance rejection. Techniques based in polynomial Lyapunov functions and relaxations based in homogeneous polynomials of arbitrary degrees will be employed, such that the investigated problems are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities and can be solved by methods of convex optimization with ample numerical support. It is intended to demonstrate by numerical experiments that the new conditions can be more embracing and less conservative then the techniques from literature. (AU) | |
