Abstract

This doctoral research aims to investigate, by means of discourse analysis of the French line, the historical and epistemological conditions that allowed the different outbursts of discourse studies in Brazil. We understand discourse studies a set of disciplines that have language, imbricated in their different orders (language, enunciation, historical) and manifested in different materialities (verbal, visual, verbal-visual), as an object of study. These different disciplines although the discourse as an object of observation, quite distinct theoretical construct objects. To this objective, we anchored in the theoretical-methodological, on the one hand, the methodology of research programs, proposed by Lakatos (1973) and, secondly, the discursive contributions of Jacques Guilhaumou (2009) notion of narrative about the event. We take as temporal clipping three historic routes: seventies; the eighties and nineties. Initially mobilized as corpus, on the one hand, articles in the area of speech published by Brazilian researchers in ALFA Magazine; Annals and Magazine of GEL Linguistic Studies; Bulletins and Journal of the Brazilian Association of Linguistics - ABRALIN; in the Journal of ANPOLL; in DELTA Magazine and Magazine in Language (Dis) course and secondly, interviews with Brazilian researchers, that through the offering of courses at undergraduate, post graduate and guidelines of dissertations and theses, the institutionalized discourse studies in its various theoretical and methodological approaches in different academic contexts.
