Abstract

For legal, social and educational reasons, students with disabilities and students with global developmental disorder are enrolled in Regular Education. Specifically in regards to the inclusion in Physical Education, teachers need to establish teaching strategies and select suitable and/or adapted teaching resources that encourage and give opportunities to involve every student in the class during the proposed activities. Therefore, this research aims to identify and describe successful teaching strategies proposed by physical education teachers for educational inclusion of students with disabilities and students with global developmental disorder enrolled in Regular Education. Participants are physical education teachers who teach students with disabilities and students with global developmental disorder enrolled in Elementary Education Cycle I (1st to 5th grade) in the school system of the city of Marilia/SP. Data collection will take place in three stages: 1) characterization of the city regarding the enrollment of students with disabilities and students with global developmental disorder, from 1st to 5th year in the Schools of Basic Education in the city; 2) recording the Physical Education classes to identify and describe the successful teaching strategies for the inclusion of students of different categories of disabilities and global developmental disorder who are enrolled in the public schools from the 1st to 5th year and 3) feedback of information to all teachers of Physical Education from the city Network of Education.
