Abstract Sensors and biosensors that use impedance spectroscopy as a detection principle are being studied in various research groups over the globe, including the Bernhard Gross Polymers Group of the São Carlos Physics Institute (IFSC). Those types of sensors present efficiency on the detection and possible low cost of the final device, requiring automation of the data acquisition and processing, mainly to execute the sensing without needing expensive equipment. In this project we'll develop an automatic data acquisition system that can be attached to any type of sensors or biosensors set based on impedance spectroscopy. To test these systems, biosensors for illness detection are going to be used, allowing the candidate to have multi-subject learning. The system will be conformed by a multiplexer board that connects the impedance meter with the sensory units arrange, with automatic data acquisition of those units. The goal is to integrate the acquisition system with the impedance measurements procedure in sensors and biosensors used by the Polymers Group. | |
