The aim of this project is the dissemination of activities carried out by the Instituto Florestal do Estado de São Paulo, such as researches, works in silviculture, as well as management and conservation actions. This dissemination will occur through news and reports that will be published in the ComCiência electronic magazine and in others virtual media. The production of this news will be guided by papers published in the Revista do Instituto Florestal (RIF) and in IF Série Registros, as well as in other related scientific journals. News about the environmental education activities will also be produced, and the social and environmental programs developed by the Institute will be spread. From this research and science communication work we hope to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge about the benefits from ecosystems conservation. Furthermore we hope to provide a better public understanding of science, showing how the scientific knowledge is produced by the Instituto Florestal and how their activities affect people's lives. We also hope to achieve a wide difusion of activities of the Instituto Florestal, giving visibility to their researches and programs, making the population understand their importance and encourage their actions.
