Abstract

Introduction: Depression is a mood disorder with multiple causes, and a significant prevalence and incidence, once that cognitive and behavioral aspects in the case understood by thoughts and behaviors, have a portion as important as, or greater than genetic. From the premise, observe its trajectory during the depressive process can be an important element to facilitate handling and programming of clinical outcomes. Rationale: longitudinal studies using psychometric tests with appropriate parameters could help to observe signs of relapse and calculate the likelihood of recurrence. Objective: the present study aims to investigate the evolution of depressive disorders during the drug treatment, noting its relationship with avoidant behaviors and dysfunctional thoughts. Method: will be evaluated 50 patients diagnosed with Major Depressive Episode Record by psychiatrist confirmed by the Structured Interview for DSM IV SCID-CV and score on the Hamilton Depression Scale -HAMD greater than 17. The patients have ages between 18 and 59 years, of both sexes, and will be treated at the clinic of the Affective Disorders Program (GRUDA) of IPq- HC-FMUSP. During treatment, patients respond the HAMD, Dysfunctional Thoughts Scale, the Avoidance Scale Cognitive Behavioral and Beck Depression Inventory II. Data analysis: the results collected by the scales along the follow-up visits and maintenance of the pharmacological treatment will be correlated, regards to assess the psychometric properties of the tests used.
