Abstract

T. terrestris is widely used in Chinese folk medicine for the treatment of rheumatism, edema, hypertension, kidney stones, astringent, anthelmintic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, anticancer, diuretic, immunomodulatory, diabetes, cardiovascular disorders and for the rejuvenation and physical erectile dysfunction. Therefore this present work aims to develop a controlled release system of steroidal saponins extract and food supplement to base Tribulus terrestris (Androsten®), through microencapsulation technique, with possible application in the food, drug industry and cosmetics. It will be evaluated the antioxidant extract potential, supplement and microcápsulaspor means of in vitro sequestration stable free radical DPPH, ion Fe +3 (FRAP), the nitric oxide radical (NO), lipid peroxidation (TBARS) and method haemolytic. The evaluation of antiglicante activity by the method of protein mobility in electrophoresis and determination of amino grouping will be held. Quantification of phenols, flavonoids and total saponins by means of spectrophotometric techniques and HPLC analysis of the extract supplement and the compounds released from the microcapsules will also be performed.
