Abstract Geochronology is essential to analyze and understand the evolutionary dynamics of the landscape and current geomorphological elements. The absolute dating using Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) contributes to the interpretation of climate data, geological and geomorphological past tenses. This project's study area low terraces located on the lower course of the river basin of the Jequitinhonha river, located in the State of Bahia. It is intended to analyze and interpret surface covers study of lower terraces to contribute to the evolution of landscape study for the Brazilian Holocene using current technologies, especially OSL, chemical analysis, grain size and morphoscopy.
