Abstract

Experimental evidence indicates that the cerebellum is involved in motor and non-motor functions. Since our recent results have demonstrated the participation of the cerebellar histaminergic system in the consolidation of emotional memory, this study aims to investigate the role of the histaminergic neural system in motor learning of mice via cerebellar vermis and establish a possible interaction of this system in processing motor and non-motor function. Will be conducted four experiments to investigate the dose-dependent effects of histamine microinjected in the cerebellar vermis; the effects of microinjection of H1 receptor antagonist (chlorpheniramine); the effects of microinjection of H2 receptor antagonist (ranitidine) and; Microinjection the effects of H3 receptor antagonist (thioperamide) on anxiety, motor performance and learning motor mice. For it will be used the elevated plus maze, rota-rod and balance beam. Statistical analysis include the homogeneity test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by post-hoc test to the appropriate experimental design. The Pearson correlation coefficient is used to verify the correlation between the motor and emotional learning.
