Abstract

With the scientific and technological advancement, there was a large increase in the research of biomaterials and biopolymers and their subsequent use, especially in health, as in tissue regeneration. A biopolymer with anti-inflammatory characteristics, healing, bactericidal and bioactivity, which has been widely used for this is the chitosan, polysaccharide obtained essentially from the shell of crustaceans such as shrimp and crab. Thus, this study it will use this biopolymer from the electrospinning, from a solution to obtain nanofibers, since structures with great value in the tissue regeneration area. To this chitosan solution it will be prepared with essential oil inclusion of the Rosmarinus officinalis L., and performed electrospinning of the solution in three different variable parameters. Thus, due studies will be conducted with the expected formation of nanofibers by electrospinning from chitosan solution with the addition of R. officinalis for subsequent analysis of their physical characteristics.
