Abstract

The proposal is to continue the research using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in reconstructive surgeries, since the results obtained with the use of this product were satisfactory, being used in grafts and cutaneous flaps. The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the use of PRP in the graft recipient bed after resection of neoplasia may influence its recurrence, as this producer is an enhancer of angiogenesis, mitogenesis and chemotaxis, and studies suggesting its use in extensive lesions of neoplasias have not yet been made. A study with 30 rats (Rattus norvegicus albinus Wistar), separated in group A (Induction of carginogenesis, PRP in postoperative) and group B (Induction of carginogenesis, without PRP in postoperative), with 15 animals each, will be carried out at the Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Jaboticabal Campus - SP. Induction of carcinogenesis on the skin of the chest region of the animals will be performed by topical application of 0.5% DMBA diluted in acetone. After surgical resection of the induced neoplasia, the PRP will be used before the synthesis of the surgical wound as a stimulator in the angiogenesis. Data on the control and experimental groups, macroscopic and microscopic variables will be evaluated by the ANOVA and Tukey test (5%). This study proposal is important because, given the results found, the PRP can be used in the routine of Veterinary Medicine, as well as in the human in reconstructive surgeries used in the correction of extensive lesions from neoplasias and traumas, in order to stimulate angiogenesis, and to promote post surgical healing.
