Abstract

INTRODUCTION: The appropriate exercise prescription depends on diagnostic physical tests, however, different perceptions of mental and physical stress levels can influence these tests. Thus, it is considered pertinent to associate stress levels with a test's result to improve the interpretation of results. PURPOSE: To evaluate and correlate fatigue perception, measured by questionnaires and specific scales, with the isometric endurance test results (IET), using an isokinetic dynamometer. METHODS: This study will be composed by a sample of 48 participants, constituted of three sessions, the first of which is entitled "Familiarization", while the others are entitled "Test". On the familiarization session the Perceived Stress Scale, Work Ability Index Questionnaire and Bergen Insomni Scale will be applied. Initially, on the test sessions, the Psychological Questionnaire, Need for Recovery Scale, will be applied. Then, right after the IET execution, the Borg CR10 Scale and Borg Scale will be applied. The analysis of participants' performance stress levels association will be made in four periods, optimizing an inter and intra-evaluators correlation test scenario. Therefore, the collected scores of each scenario will be associated to the performance of each of the four moments of physical tests through Pearson's correlation coefficient. All analysis will have 95% of confidence interval.
