Abstract

This research aims to perform interactions of ergonomic and luminous comfort of iconic buildings of Brazilian modernist architecture, located in the city of São Paulo, produced between 1930 and 1964, for commercial and residential use, being: Conjunto Nacional Building (1963), at Paulista Avenue, designed by the architect Daniel Libeskind; the Italian Building (1964), at the city center, designed by the architect Franz Heep, the Copan Building (1966), designed by Oscar Niemeyer, located in Praça da Republican and the Anchieta Building (1941), designed by the office of architecture MMM Roberto and located in the neighborhood of Consolação. The research is part of the FAPESP Research Project "The Performance, under the Ergonomic Approach, of Iconic Buildings of Brazilian Modernist Architecture, in São Paulo, produced between 1930 and 1964" (ref. Process 2015 / 04646-8, effective March 2016 To March 2018), under the coordination of the director of this scientific initiation, and of the project "The Thermal and Luminous Performance of Iconic Buildings of Brazilian Modernist Architecture in São Paulo, produced between 1930 and 1964" , Under the responsibility of Profa. Dr. Joana Carla S. Gonçalves. This research has as main objective to perform interactions of ergonomic and luminous comfort, from the following steps: task analysis, layout and furniture survey and simulations. Also, as a secondary objective, it aims to help in the understanding of the overall performance of those buildings, not only evaluating the adaptations looking for greater functionality that have occurred throughout the use of the buildings, both in physical space and in environmental aspects, but also with what the users expect when living and working. The method to be used in the research is experimental inductive with field survey of physical and environmental variables. The results will be analyzed in a comparative way between the experimental data of the buildings in their current configurations and of design, in addition to being confronted with ergonomic performance criteria, especially those established in ISO 26800-2011 Ergonomics - General approach, principles and concepts, ASTM E 2350-2013 Standard Guide for Integration of Ergonomics / Human Factors into New Occupational Systems and NBR 9050: 2004. Accessibility to buildings, furniture, spaces and urban equipment. The applied method is based on the results obtained in previous researches, which evaluated performance under the ergonomic approach. As a result, design recommendations for contemporary architecture will be formulated. (AU)
