Abstract We propose a year long postdoctoral visit to the University of Southampton in order to interact with Prof. Nils Andersson on quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) in isolated neutron stars as axial (shear, torsional) perturbations and the constraints this brings to compact stellar models. Special attention will be paid to the imprints and byproducts of microphysical aspects of volumes and surfaces of hybrid (stratified) stars on QPOs. This is in total consonance with the current FAPESP project of the candidate and Prof. Nils Andersson's lines of research. | |
